Life Skills Hub - Staff Photo (Stefan)_e

Hi, I'm Stefan!

Mentor & Sports Enthusiast

Howdy! My name is Stefan and I am a mentor at Life Skills Hub. I am a charismatic and open-minded person with a strong background in social work and education. My past experiences include working at an OSHC and coaching with younger people, providing them support and guidance. At university, I am undergoing my Bachelor of Primary Education then progressing onto my Master’s in Occupational Therapy, so I love being around people. I am a big family person and love spending quality time with my loved ones. My interests include being around my friends, playing soccer at my local club, listening to music, gaming and watching Netflix.

What made you want to become a Mentor?

When I was younger, my role models were my older cousins who influenced my life. I knew I wanted to try and help people and I find that by learning and speaking with people, I am bettering myself and learning so much.

What is your approach to supporting young people?

Being that I am a very big family person, I strive to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where young people feel valued and heard. When meeting young people, prioritising the building of trust and forming meaningful connections is absolutely crucial. Although offering advice is important, I tend to listen and offer support as when I was younger, I never felt heard, supported or valued by some of my teachers, and I want to be better.

What are some of your favourite activities to do in your free time?

In my free-time, I tend to be a busy-body where I need something to do. I achieve this by playing amateur league soccer, playing amateur basketball occasionally and gaming with my friends. Exercise is a huge part of my life; I go to the gym and will hopefully become a power-lifter in years to come. Music is also a big passion of mine and whenever I find free-time to listen to music, I do.

What is your favourite quote?

"Be curious, not judgmental”

“You know what the happiest animal on earth is? It’s a Goldfish. It’s got a 10 second memory. Be a Goldfish.”

What is the most interesting place you have been?

The most interesting place I have been to is Pesaro in Italy, which is a very small town and we lived next to Valentino Rossi.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

Forever by Noah Kahan (WOW!) or California Girls by Katy Perry

Do you have any fun or unique talents?

The Carlton Dance from Fresh Prince of Bel-air.

The around the world in soccer.
