Structured Group

Social connectedness is fundamental for positive well-being and mental health, and fostering these connections and understanding is at the core of our social connector group. The Young Women’s social connector group is designed for young women aged 16-25+ to connect, share experiences and grow alongside peers who can relate to their journey. The environment allows members to engage in activities of their choosing and participate in discussions without pressure, promoting genuine interactions.

Within the Social Connector group, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in activities in a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment.

  • Connect with peers of similar age to form authentic friendships.

  • Make choices about the activities they wish to engage in collaboratively.

  • Promote empowerment and decision making,

  • Strengthen confidence and opportunities to engage in social interactions

This group may be suitable for young women who:

  • Want to have increase social interactions in the community to reduce social isolation.

  • Are looking for social relationships with similar aged peers.

  • Experience anxiety and would feel more comfortable engaging with others with the support of skilled staff.

  • Are seeking a supportive space to engage in fun activities they enjoy.

Embracing the full spectrum of womanhood, our group welcomes all who identify as female, including transgender women and those assigned male at birth but who resonate with a female identity.

We believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from understanding, supporting one another and engaging in various activities that are meaningful. This group offers a space for young women to simply be themselves, share their stories and have some fun together.
