OUR NEW GRAD PROGRAM
About our program
At Life Skills Hub, we are committed to nurturing the growth of new graduate occupational therapists by providing a supportive and structured environment that not only focusses on developing clinical knowledge but also skills to help them develop as an effective professional. Our 12-month program is designed to ensure that new graduate OT’s are well-equipped to deliver high-quality and client centred care while gaining confidence in their role as an allied health professional.
This program has been designed for OT's, BY OT's and has been developed by a range of experienced professionals to create a framework that we believe will set up new graduates for success long-term.

The successful candidate will be supported by large team consisting of OT's, Psychologists, Dietitians, AHA's and Mentors. This a full-time permanent position that will include a mixture of both clinic-based and offsite community services.
What makes this program different?
*
Designed for OT's, by OT's.
This program has been developed by a range of experienced occupational therapists and multi-D clinicians to create a framework we believe sets up new graduates to be successful. This program has been developed based on the experience and learnings from therapists to provide opportunities to develop both clinical and professional skills. Our service and team is 100% invested in helping you develop as a professional for life, not just for our organisation.

A graded approach to learning
We understand that being a new grad can be an exciting yet overwhelming process & a staged approach to learning is important. This involves shadowing, completing sessions in tandem with experienced therapists and gradual exposure with a range of 1:1 and group sessions.
*
Access to experienced & trained supervisors
All our Supervisors have experience in supervision & have conducted formal supervision training within Life Skills Hub. We do not view supervision as a passive process and are committed to prioritising your supervision time in a confidential space in a dedicated time. New graduates will not only be provided with a primary supervisor, bu0 also a secondary supervisor to ensure consistency of support during any absences.
*
Be supported to develop your professional identity
Through regular supervision, reflective practice and support from a range of experienced therapists - we will support you to develop your professional identity. This includes identifying strengths, areas for development, interests and long term goals.
