Hi, I'm Dylan!

Occupational Therapist
& Trivia Champion

Dylan completed his bachelor of human movement in 2018 and his Master of Occupational Therapy in 2020. He has worked with a diverse range of clients in private practice before commencing his employment at Life Skills Hub in early 2023. He loves playing video games, trying out new recipes and is passionate about the quality of his lawn.   

  

Dylan has experience in working with young people of all ages and is passionate about helping people to build their independence and confidence. He has a particular interest in working with teenagers and young adults to help them become more independent and be able to confidently enter their next stage of life. He loves to learn everything about his clients and their interests, to understand them as an individual and develop strong connections with each person. This helps him to support every person in the way that best suits them.

Dylan takes a practical approach to supporting the young people he works with and understands that what works for one person won’t necessarily work for everyone. He believes in working with people to identify the challenges they are facing and develop their personal skills to help them to develop their independence. His practice is guided by developing a relationship with the person and empowering them to be in control of the support they receive. Dylan has a special interest in working with clients with mental health challenges and neurodiverse clients, striving to understand their challenges and coming up with practical strategies to overcome them.

Dylan has and continues to seek training in:  

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy 

  • Executive Functioning Skills Development 

  • Sensory processing  

 

What made you want to become an Occupational Therapist?

 I wanted to become an occupational therapist to help people to live their best lives.

What are some of your favourite activities to do in your free time? 

I enjoy playing video games, trying new recipes, and playing chess.
