Chnar Khoshnaw is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist with AHPRA, bringing six years of experience working with a diverse range of clients, predominantly school-aged children with various mental health conditions and disabilities. Chnar has a strong passion for working with children and young people, as well as supporting their families.

Before becoming a Provisional Psychologist, Chnar worked as a counsellor, providing telephone support to individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as a School Counsellor, where she discovered her passion for working with children, young people, and their families.

Chnar values collaboration with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. She believes that building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships through engaging activities relevant to the client's goals, interests, and strengths is essential for effective therapy. Through her compassionate and collaborative methods, Chnar aims to assist clients in enhancing their understanding of themselves and their experiences.

Chnar's practice is guided by a client-centred and evidence-based approach to treatment and support. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and valued. Chnar places a strong emphasis on understanding and addressing the underlying factors contributing to her clients' challenges, rather than just focusing on surface-level symptoms.
