Carla joins us with experience in netball coaching, reception and disability support, working as a support worker for the last three years. Carla is currently studying Occupational Therapy which aligns with her passion for wanting to support others achieve their goals. She would describe herself as a kind, bubbly and supportive person who tries to help others to the best of her abilities.

What made you want to become a Mentor?
I wanted to become a mentor as I love working with young adults to help them achieve their goals, build connections with others and create environment in which they feel safe to do so. I also thought it be an amazing opportunity for me to gain more experience in how to build relationships with people for my future career.
What made you want to work at Life Skills Hub?
I am lucky enough to have also worked on admin, which I have really enjoyed as it has enabled me to work with different clients and their families to try and best support them.

What are some of your favourite activities to do in your free time?
Playing with my two dogs, Leo and Nala, snuggling up in my bed and binge watching a new tv show, and going to the beach.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Dolphin – I feel like it be so fun to breathe underwater and see what life is like underwater
