What made you want to become a Mentor?
My desire to become a youth mentor stemmed from my own experiences growing up and the impact that positive role models had on my life. I recognised the importance of having someone who listens, understands, and provides guidance during the challenging adolescent years. This inspired me to give back to my community and help young people navigate their difficulties, discover their strengths, smash their goals, and have lots of fun doing so!

Can you describe your approach to supporting young people?
My approach to supporting young people is centred around fostering a sense of belonging and creating a nurturing environment where they feel valued and understood. I strive to provide a safe space for them to openly share their thoughts and feelings. By emphasizing active listening, empathy, goal setting, and encouraging self-expression, I aim to empower confidence and motivation.

What are some of your favourite activities to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy watching my favourite movies and TV series, spending time with my family and friends, walking my fluffy dog Tex, and baking delicious, sweet treats. During the summer, I enjoy heading down to the beach for a swim and surf or a sunset walk along the shore!

What is the most interesting place you have been?
When I was younger, I had the incredible experience of spending a day of my European travels on the Island of Capri, nestled along Italy's stunning Amalfi Coast. This day quickly became the highlight of my journey as it began with a picturesque boat ride to the island, delicious gelati, an exhilarating chairlift ride, and a refreshing dive into the crystal-clear blue waters.
